When Rudy moved to Davao, his brother Joey teamed up with Morito Gellecanao, also of Aguisan and they continue to raise these fowls. Around 1978 we acquired four hens(all green legged), one straight comb which was a 15/16 Duke as we call them, one straight comb lemon pale face/blueface 15/16, one peacomb lemon cecil and a peacomb hen they called 83. We also got some cocks, both straight and peacombs and bred them straight hulsey/hulsey. They are all green legged but a yellow legged male offspring will pop out once in a while.

In the middle of the eighties Engr. Andring Gellecanao (brother to Morito) was already a respected breeder using the same lemons which he got from Joey Chua and Morito. Engr. Gellecanao's lemons were commonly known as the "Floridas" and were fought under Lemon Infinitum in the major circuit. He is a very good breeder with a very high winning percentage.

Around this time, mid- eighties we also got nine pullets of these Floridas with three different toe marks. Although they all produced excellent fighting offsprings, some of them are throwing weak and deformed chicks. We kept only two of these hens (same toe marks) as seed fowls and the rest we never kept their pullets to breed on.

Also around 1987 I got a five times winner from Jerry Limsiaco. He is a white legged Lemon /Jimmy East with a vista alegre wingband. We bred this to some of our lemons to make a new line and the offspring came both white and yellow legs. We bred-out this infusion down to 1/16 mating only the yellow legged ones. We never get any white legged throwbacks from this yellow legged line.

After these years they became round bodied and very muscular, disease resistant and have very uniformed fighting style.
